Schools For Future began with a simple question: what happens to children who live so far from a school that education becomes impossible?
In remote mountainous regions of Vietnam, children from the CORE ethnic group face exactly this reality. The nearest school can be hours away, across rivers, through dense forest, along paths that disappear in the rainy season. For these children, education isn't a given. It's a luxury they can't reach.
We decided to change that. Schools For Future is a team of 13 volunteers from Western Sydney: pharmacists, lawyers, IT professionals, educators, and community leaders from Vietnamese, Lao, Italian, Filipino, Egyptian, and Argentine backgrounds. We share one belief: no child should be denied an education because of where they were born.
Since 2023, we've built and renovated schools in the most remote communities of Vietnam and Laos, funded entirely by the generosity of donors and supporters in Australia.
